Friday, October 11, 2024 2:44PM CDT Friday's October USDA crop production and WASDE reports held few surprises with both corn and soybeans showing record yields, as expected, along with a record soybean production to boot. Wheat markets also slid lower despite lower-than-expected production and ending stocks estimates.
Friday, October 11, 2024 1:46PM CDT Earlier this week, it appeared the Tampa area would take a direct hit from Hurricane Milton. The area is home to several phosphorus production facilities which supply the fertilizer industry. The Category 3 hurricane came ashore further south, sparing these plants from a direct hit.
